- First Walstad bowl: no filter, no ferts, no co2 and no heater!
- 1 month 1 week. Cork still on. Details in comments.
- Started this jarrarium a month or two ago by gathering moss and dirt from my back yard. I used to be able to see the springtails inside, but they’ve disappeared and the cork has started to grow mold. What can I do? I can still see v tiny critters if I look long enough but it seems like it’s dying.
- Update on "Ecosphere" from our local slough (started on 8/10/20). Not a lot of movement and quite the die off has occurred. Fair warning, the second picture is not pretty.
- How to?

| Posted: 13 Aug 2020 12:29 PM PDT My daughter and I are going canoe camping this weekend. I thought it would be a great idea to start a jararium wheb we are in the back Waters of Ontario. It looks like I should scoop a bunch of mud, plants, and rocks from the ponds we are canoeing. Any advice that you guys could give us would be great? [link] [comments] |
