My first and favourite photo of Calcifer - he's been through hell and back and is currently battling SBD, but he's a fighter!

Dead Fish Preservation

Posted: 11 Jun 2021 05:59 AM PDT

Hi there,

I was wondering if there is a way to keep my fish after his death?

I hope it will not happen in the next few years but I wanna be prepared for everything and really want to keep him. I know that there is the option of taxidermy, but I really can't imagine myself doing such a thing and than doing it right.

I also read about putting him/her into resin, but read that they will rot(?!).

Anyone who knows better about this topic and could tell me a option?

And is this even possible with for example half-moons etc?

Sorority nest ? I have a 70 gallon tank with what I thought were all female Bettas, I've double checked for the egg spot on all of them and they all have it. Maybe one of the them isn't female ? How rare is it for a female to bubble nest as I've only ever had males that do it.

Our betta looks like Pennywise, but is the most chill fish in our tank.
