After 2 days of hiding the $krimpz finally came out :D glad I didn’t waste $40. I’d like everyone to meet Reggie and Regina (I’m just assuming the ones male and female cause fuck you I do what I want)

All my shrimp died suddenly except these two. Came home and found them all belly up :( I didn’t change anything except got new food and added cholla wood. Sad.

The Cull of the Wild (type shrimp)

Shrimp are amazing survivors, wow.

I made the mistake of putting my new stock of shrimp in my 5 G, with my betta instead of the divided 10. When I saw my betta chasing them around (he was 50/50. Only when he saw them not moving.) I knew I had to remove them.

I quickly removed them, and then moved them to the 10 G.

I was absolutely confident and positive I had gotten every single one of them.

Then 1-2 weeks later, I'm doing a water change, and casually I see one of my juvie shrimps, crawling from under the wood.

I probably should move him tomorrow into the 10 G with the rest of the colony, but wow.

Is it a bad idea to put shrimp in a tank, mixed with other breeders shrimp?

Posted: 14 Apr 2021 01:21 AM PDT

So, I have two shrimp colonies 1. Sunkist Shrimp 2. Orange Sakura.

Both are from different breeders, the Sunkist are a different shade of orange, and less quality. The Orange Sakura, are of a reddish-orange, and higher, but legs are transparent, and the overall colour isn't fully solid.

There is another breeder I found, his are similar to the reddish orange.

But, what I worry is, would mixing all these shrimp together be a bad move? Or should I just buy more Sakura Oranges from the 2nd breeder, instead of the new 3rd?

Got some new Blue Dreams today but noticed i have what appears to be Scutariella japonica on one of them. What are my options?

Posted: 14 Apr 2021 01:19 AM PDT

I've been googling for around 30 mins now and am 90% sure its Scutariella japonica. All of the things i've seen says to do a salt dip. Question is... Does API aquarium salt work?
