Got back in the game this year with my 10yr old 29g Oceanic Biocube. Yes, I catch flack for my heavy rock-scaping but I like it. So does the 6-line.

Well I did it... pulled the trigger on a 310. Wish me luck, many posts of progress to follow in the coming year. BRS, I’ll be you new favorite customer.

Got some new wrasse so needed protection...
Just put in some sea lettuce...I can’t say I like it that much but eh...was free about 4 weeks old atm

Do you name your fish/invertebrates?

If so, any stories/meaning behind them? I named everything except the corals and snails (I have over 30 and can't tell them apart anyways lmao.)

Nemo - Orange Ocellaris Clown. Lowest hanging fruit I know lol.

Camino - Black Ocellaris Clown. Play off of Nemo, and also in honor of one of my favorite rappers, 88 Camino, who I was listening to heavily at the time of the fish arriving.

Patek - Yellow Watchman Goby. Patek like the designer brand of watches. WATCHman Goby. 🤣

Phoenix - Helfrichi Firefish. Actually a bit more sad story to this one. I ordered one from LiveAquaria, and the first one was DOA. They gave me a free replacement, so I named the second one Phoenix in honor of the first one. Rise from the ashes. Plus it fits a FIREfish since the Phoenix is literally a flaming bird lmao.

Louie - Banggai Cardinalfish. Like the St. Louis Cardinals. Not a fan of the team, or really baseball in general, but a huge sports fan overall, so it was the first thing that came to mind. Plus it's a more goofy/playful type of name, and that's the vibe he gives me with the big goofy googly eyes lmao.

Shy Guy - Fire Shrimp. He was extremely timid when I first got him, and while he's way more of a presence in the tank now that he's comfortable, it still fits him. It's also a reference to the Shy Guys from Super Mario, who are also red, black, and white like the shrimp.

These last 4 were all extremely basic, off the top of the head names right on the spot and don't really need any explanation lmfao.

Eugene - Emerald Crab. Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob's first name.

Mr. Clean - Cleaner Shrimp

Pistol Pete - Pistol Shrimp

Shelldon - White Legged Hermit Crab (Shell....don 🤣)
