Ghost shrimps killing other freshly molted crayfish?

Posted: 31 Mar 2021 01:41 AM PDT

Guys I'm wondering is it likely ghost shrimp will kill a freshly molted crayfish or any other shrimp for that matter?

I'm asking this is because I had a small 1.5 inch marbled crayfish who died this morning after it had molted and it's only tankmates are 3 ghost shrimp who I bought as a cheap cleanup crew.

I just wanted to find some answers as I have another marbled crayfish with 4 ghost shrimp as tankmates and I don't want to lose this one as well.

Or maybe it's just possible my crayfish died due to a bad molt and the shrimp are innocent.

Thanks in advance.

Rusted blue dream

Posted: 31 Mar 2021 02:47 AM PDT

Hi everyone! Nice to meet you all! I need an advice about my neocaridine davidii blue dream. Some of them (like four or five) have some spots that look like rusted. I searched on the internet but what I found are only conflicting ideas about this kind of coloration. Some people says that this is a kind of illness, other ones says that it's normal, other ones says that it could be a regression to the chocolate variant type. What do you think about it? Some weeks ago I isolated one of them, but it was okay... It didn't have any kind of problem.. none of them died. I really don't know what to do... I tried to take some pictures to let you see what I'm talking about, but my phone camera isn't that good to take good quality pictures to let you see the details 😭😢

Should I try caridina?

Posted: 31 Mar 2021 04:24 AM PDT

Title. I had to switch my water source to well water and consequentially all my neos eventually died of molting issues as my well water is basically RO straight out of the tap (gH 4, kH 0-1, pH 7). My only concern is that water temps might reach up to mid 80s here. Should I still try something like RCS? Or they wouldn't be able to handle the high temperatures?
