Trying to cycle 5g tank with Nilocg Thrive added every 3rd day--day 4. Looks like the fert adds NO3, will see if the perameters ever change.....

Unidentified aquatic slime/ possibly eggs? I’m establishing a new tank, flooded last Wednesday and just today noticed this. Have no snails or fish. Anyone know what this might be?

Shallow tank questions.

Any tips for the maintenance or planning of a Shallow aquarium? Managing evaporation? Things you wished you knew before you started?

I'm planning a *similar size to a UNS 60, - 24 inch w 16 long 8 tall or about 61cmx41x20tall. Not planted, it will be 13.3 gallons / 50.3 litres.

Stock plans are: Corydoras Habrosus x 10? Amano shrimp x 3 and Nerite Snails x 3. Lots of sand area for nano-catfish digging and for the shrimp a few bunches of buce and small pieces of driftwood.

Thanks for the advice! and thanks for all of the inspiration!
