Aquariums - Celebrating 9 years with my Pleco! I bought him when I was 12 and have had him ever since. Definitely not the fanciest fish on this sub but I love him anyway!

If you've ever been curious what fish stores in China are like, wonder no more!

These are photos of Honghu, an aquarium market here in Shenzhen. It's hidden under a wal-mart. Most fish markets in China are underground and each vendor has a stall or shop specializing in one or two species. For example, there's photos of a guy who only sells Asian Arowana. Others specialize in discus, flowerhorns, or koi. The saltwater shops tend to be well-rounded with a large selection of coral and fish.

I like this market, but I usually go to a small LFS (the only standalone place I've seen in Shenzhen) within walking distance of my apartment. Mr. Li has a small selection but can order anything I want. However, I sometimes get in the mood to browse so I take the metro to Honghu. If there's interest, I'll post photos of the place near my house too!

Fishkeeping in China is great! I bought cured live rock for $1.25 a pound. And my little powerhead cost $3. China is a great place for hobbyists. Once my corals settle in, I'll share photos of everything I bought.
