| Posted: 14 Sep 2020 08:35 AM PDT Hello all, I bought a house with a pair of koi ponds connect by an overflow river that flows from one to the other. All in it's a little under 5000 gallons from what the previous owner told me. Currently I have a skimmer box with a pump in each one that feed two different waterfall type of things, one of which looks like it's a box built by a company specifically for that purpose and not hidden very well to look natural. The skimmers feed through some flexible PVC up to these. I have 3 questions. Is it worth going through the hassle of digging everything up and putting bottom fed drains in and getting rid of the skimmers, if I did that how do you go about making sure you can access the pumps, and is there any kind of cleanup crew or anything to put in the pond, currently I just have koi.
