Shark and dirty glass

Probably my happiest day of reef keeping. I was told that my black storms would never host because they are “tank raised”. Woke up to see this :)

Liking the new coral arrangement

Added a Pistol and a Watchman yesterday and they immediately paired up. Instantly my favorite thing to watch in the tank. Guest starring one of my Nassarius lol. (Excuse the ugly cyano.)

Bi colored blenny destroying my algea

Cleaning the glass(acrylic) on the 3100 gallon definitely takes longer as the coraline ramps up.

What kind of star is this? Definitely a hitchhiker and just noticed him today. (Excuse the music, wanted to catch him before he moved out of sight.)

Mandarin dragonet in a 32 gal biocube?

Posted: 06 Aug 2020 06:12 PM PDT

I've been looking at some new fish for my 32 gal biocube, I lost everything on a trip to an ich outbreak in February, and am looking for some new fish to add. For the longest time I've loved mandarin gobies, but heard they can only live in big systems with big pod population. I am planning on soon setting up a refugium, and will be willing to dose pods. Would it be able to support a mandarin? How often would I have to dose pods?

Something oddly satisfying watching my Cyphastrea slowly encrust this rock.

I put a cheap UV light in my saltwater mixing tank (aka brute trashcan). It looks like I’m brewing up a spell when mixing salt now...

Just shoot it yesterday myself ,for me as a background. So i just post it, if someone wants it too. Have a great week to you all.

Not sure what kind it is but i like my new zoa

Posted: 06 Aug 2020 08:24 AM PDT

Is this aiptasia? It’s been in my tank for months but never spread beyond this single one. I just learned about aiptasia today and when I saw a picture, it rang a bell, but not sure if that’s what this is, since it never spread when aiptasia spreads like a plague.
