My 1st planted tank with my first fry! Posted: 13 Aug 2020 02:10 AM PDT

Posted: 13 Aug 2020 07:08 AM PDT I'm a beginner starting with a 29 gallon tank (LxWxH = 30"x12"x18"), and I'd like some advice on stocking. I'm hoping to start a community tank with cory catfish, harlequin rasboras, and a dwarf gourami (either 1 male or a male-female pair). How many cories and rasboras should I stock in this set-up so that they are in a comfortable-sized group, but not overcrowded? I was looking at this guide: https://aquarium-fish-plants.com/29-38-gallons-fishtank-stocking-ideas However, it recommends 8 cories, 12 rasboras, and 1 M-F pair dwarf gourami. By the 1-inch per gallon rule, this seems like it would be very overcrowded for 29 gallons! But would cories and rasboras be unhappy in smaller groups? Advice? [link] [comments] | ||
