Jarrariums - Not sure if im in the right place but I recently received these as gifts, all that seems to be in them is stones and the plant and they’re both fully submerged in water. Will they survive this way? I have no Idea how to care for them!

• My first Jar ������ Moss from outside my home, plastic mushroom, pilea glauca, tiny golden pothos :)
• Which "jar" would you use?
• Why are the snails climbing to top of jar?
• Drift wood, moss and ferns in an enclosed jar.
• First Jarrarium! Sourced from nearby lagoon + free plants in old betta tank
• I’m the let’s see how this goes arrowhead bottle person. Let’s see how this one goes! Happy with their new home. Just might work!
• 9 months into my jararrium, a winged insect appeared.
• Substrate turning black

9 months into my jararrium, a winged insect appeared. Posted: 14 Jul 2020 09:51 PM PDT ​ This has happened around three times now. I'm not sure where they're coming from or why it's happening after 9 months, but wow! I'm baffled as to how it just appeared in the jar, did I not look hard enough last time?
