I could spot atleast 4 different animals currently in the jar. I believe as time goes by some will pass and others will emerge? Never seen one with brackish water before.

Gnats or other Flying Nuisance

Posted: 22 Jul 2020 07:43 AM PDT

Hello. I have a few jars around the house and for the first time, this summer, we are loaded with some sort of flying midge. We also have a lot of plants around the house, and I know there are gnats that live in potting soil, but is there anything I can do to stop any hatching that may come out of my jars?

Thanks.

My first ecosphere! I already have a lil snail friend

2nd attempt after yesterday's post. So far so good, more plants and leaving it open in the day have meant a steady oxygen flow. I also 2 worms in here accidentally. One died quickly, not sure why, but the other is chilling up here. Is a worm something I want in my jar or should I throw it out?
