My brother made me this jar terrarium 10 months ago. Here it is today :)

We found this naturally made one in the woods one day. It's dying now. How might I revive it?

What creatures to add to a houseplant in water?

I have a number of houseplants(chinese evergreen, dumb cane) in large 1-2 gal. jars, and I change the water every couple months as algae builds up. I would love to have some critters in the jars to eat the algae and dead sloughed off roots and the like, but have no idea where to start. Can anyone suggest a good starter composition for something like this?

Many thanks

Just got this mason jar wine glass thing and filled it up with water and added half marbles might add a marimo. Any suggestions for little critters to put in here?
