Crayfish farm/enclosure. I've added a lower tank, and about 18 more crayfish

Hi everyone, I just realized I have a bunch of garlic that I think will expire soon. Can I feed it to my crays?

My first crayfish (florida cray) I’m glad he likes the cave I made. Was originally going to wait for an electric blue, but I saw these guys and just couldn’t not

Florida crayfish pet food?

I've been told crab cuisine, but my LFS doesn't have it so I'm gonna order it online, what should I feed them in the mean time and what is your recommended crab cuisine? I noticed there were several kinds and am unsure of which to use

Cleaning for a wild crayfish

Posted: 01 Jul 2020 03:51 PM PDT

I'm currently cycling a tank that I plan on putting a wild caught crayfish into. I'm gonna scape it with driftwood and rocks from the same Creek that I catch it from. I will be using store bought substrate however.

I have a separate tank with a betta and corydoras, all from a pet store. When cleaning both tanks, can I use the same cleaning tools for each tank, or would this be risking a cross contamination between wild caught and captive bred? I don't know if I'm being paranoid and it'll be fine, or if this is a real concern and I should buy a second bucket, siphon, and glass scrubber to use only with the crayfish.

Edit: I do plan on boiling the rocks and driftwood to ensure anything potentially harmful that is attached is killed before its put in the tank.

Second question, if I leave a few inches of water from the top will I still need a lid? Would they be able to climb up a filter like the tetra whisper 10i (the one I am cycling)
