Long term effects of zero water changes.

Hello Planted.I have a tank that is doing real well with very minimal input from me, I wondering if this is sustainable or am I slowly building to a crash.

A little bit about my tank.45g (closer to 30-35 with soil/driftwood)2 x Eheim Pro 4 600 Canister Filters1 x 40W UV (Inline /w Canister runs 12hr day)

1x kessel tuna sun ( 9am-6pm ) Intensity slowly increases from 0% to 100% between (9am-1PM) then back down to 0% over the next 5 hours. Room gets sun also.

Co2 Ran 24/7

1x Heater (Disconnected)

2x Dosing Pumps (PPS Micro Macro Disconnected)

2 in ADA Amazonia Soil

Tank Age ~7 months.

Stocking 6 Oto, 12, CPD, 20+ Neocaridina (increaseing exponentally)

R / o water. Minerals supplemented with PPS pro formula, Buffered to 6.5ph with seachem buffer.

Since disconnecting the ferts 3 months ago I also stopped changing the water, and now only add 0tds ro water to replace evaporation. Here are some things I've noticed.

  1. I haven't lost a single livestock. (something I did experience previously if not REGULAR with maintenance.
  2. Plant growth other than moss has greatly slowed but not shown any major deficiencies.
  3. TDS stays constant and PH swing is constant and predictable.

I plan to start reintroducing csm+b this week, but am hesitant to damage whatever balance I have created.

If anyone has some tips as to my current situation i would be every grateful!
