Let’s see how this goes.

Thought y'all might appreciate my giant cookie jarrarium. Unfortunately, it was short-lived due to a leak. Now I have a very proper and expensive cube aquarium, and I mourn the loss of my beautiful diy jar.

Any idea what this creature is? Likely from the Miracle Gro Potting Mix I used.

Thought mosquito larvae but not sure. It also disappeared and I haven't seen it since(!)

I made a Saltwater Jarrarium. Does anyone know what this mollusc-like thing is?

Probably a dumb question...

So I'm getting what I feel is a lot of conflict info online. I have a 1 gallon set up planted, with driftwood and a tiny bladder snail. I want to add some cherry/blue shrimp. Like 3 maybe?

My question is....do I need a heater? Do I need a filter? I was thinking about DIY-ing a small sponge filter if so. Is it ethical to have them in there without a filter? Without a heater? Some sites say room temperature is fine for them (72) but others recommend warmer.I have other other tanks and would keep up with water changes.

I put a thermometer in there and it's reading about 73-74 degrees. But right now it's summer and pretty warm in my house...
