What do I do about my cloudy tank?

My axolotl tank continuously gets cloudy even though we change the water regularly. How do we make it better?

Filter seeding question.

Posted: 28 Apr 2020 06:34 AM PDT

I have a very old Fluval 2Plus in the tank now and I want to upgrade to a Fluval U2. Can I just put the new filter into the tank and run them both for a week or so? I am picking up the new filter on Friday and I am trying to get the new filter in place and stable before I move Ix Chel from quarantine on May 14th.

Is keeping a single axolotl in a 10 gallon tank okay?

Posted: 27 Apr 2020 08:18 PM PDT

I'm about to go off the college where I can only have a 10 gallon tank but I would also really like to have an axolotl as I think they're really cool animals. I've been reading a lot of articles and resources and some say a 20 gallon tank is as low as one should go while others say 10 gallons is okay as long as you keep up the maintenance. If I keep up the maintenance get a good filter, get test strips and have live hornwort to filter out ammonia and the like do you think it's possible?

Guys...

I'm literally over here panicking! My stupid fan just fell inside of my axolotl tank—- startling them both! If it didn't cut off, I would have been facing a horror show! Like it's taking a lot for me to stop crying and panicking. 🥺

I'm glad they're okay but— it's so scary.
