Question about constructing tank features Posted: 24 Apr 2020 06:35 AM PDT I want to construct a hide and some other interesting features for my axolotl (Gene Parmesan). I like natural-looking "landscapes" so I'm thinking something made of stones glued together with silicone, maybe a big cave and plateau above it, with a "rock wall" going up the back of the aquarium? But I'm looking for other ideas, or other materials to work with. This will be a planted tank, too. Please share pictures of your custom made aquarium features for inspiration. Can you think of any issues to keep in mind? I know to use the right kind of silicone, and I have a solid stand that can handle the weight. Gene is in a smaller tank for now, while I set the new one up. [link] [comments] | ||

Evicting earth worms from moss balls? Posted: 23 Apr 2020 11:13 AM PDT I was using one of my marimo moss balls to help seed a new tank and noticed a worm sticking its head (butt?) out! Anyone know a good method for evicting these guys? I'd prefer not to wreck my moss but will if need be. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
