After roughly 3 years Fitzgerald finally passed away. A week later say hello to SeaKing
I know 3g isn't ideal, but I feel like the scape makes up for it.
After weeks of lurking, researching, cycling, and envying, I'm excited to introduce my new friend, Sterling. Welcome home, little dude ��
Still not over Buddy, but my dad surprised me with roger ichabod petals. After a full water change, he’s in his new home :)

i, quite frankly, was the worst betta owner ever. uncycled tank? check. 100% water changes? check. i feel awful for my poor little boy every time i think about it. but this time, i did it right. i got a 29 gallon tank, and i cycled it. i have 3 happy little shrimp and a few lovely plants. i do a 5-10 gallon water change every sunday, and my boy -Captain Jack- seems to be doing phenomenal. he's a galaxy betta and I don't think ive ever seen colors as lovely as his. he's changed so much, just over the past two weeks! he's so sweet, he even gives out kisses. (through the glass of course) he's gotten to be a bit of a chonker, but I'm not too worried about it. thanks to this subreddit, i learned so much about betta keeping (and fish keeping in general) and im ecstatic with the outcome. thank you all!
