You already know.. but pothos is simply incredible for cleaning your tank

Many videos/guides out there describing how various terrestrial plants can do wonders for your tank , but I was just so blown away by what my pothos cuttings accomplished. I love houseplants and I have some very large pothos hanging in my room, I took 6 cuttings from that plants and stuck them in my 30 gallon, in just one week they had comepletely eliminated all trace ammonia and nitrates, and their growth was WELL beyong anything I'd ever seen them achieve in soil, like once their roots were established, the cutting were growing at a rate of about one new leaf per day, which is just staggering..I now see why growing crops with aquaculture is so popular and succesful! FYI I have 8 danios, 24 neon tetras, and about 40 RCS. The danios were a recent addition, and I wasn't prepared for their big bioload, but these pothos cuttings and increased water changes saved me--now the pothos are doing it all on their own and I'm back to my regular water change schedule. Thanks internet! Edit: Also just wanted to point out the wonderful mechanism by which the Pothos is actually helping your tank in another way: since it's such a fast grower and powerful air-purifier, its actually pumping out extra oxygen and removing trace toxins from my room, which is great for me but also means my air-intake pump never lacks for freshly oxygenated air, its so cool!
