Posted: 02 Jan 2020 09:00 AM PST Over the past few days I have been to local lakes and ponds getting rocks, sticks, and sand for my sealed aquatic setup, but I haven't had much luck with plants. Does anyone know of a good way to get plants from a lake without getting in? Thanks [link] [comments]

I made a "clearer" definition of what jarrariums are, since Ive seen some disputes. Posted: 01 Jan 2020 03:53 PM PST I see the question posted often, what is a jarrarium. Its supposed to be for any ecosystems built in jars. People like to gate keep and say jarrarium stands for "jar + aquarium" but its nonsense. Jars are any cylindrical glass containers, with conical inward tapering. This is why you will see many bottles and bowls posted to this sub-reddit. As long as it fits the description of a jar and contains an ecosystem within, than it is a jarrarium. [link] [comments]
