What pleco is this? I thought it looked like it had the opposite colors of a malaysia pleco.

Mr. Wiggles doesn't come out front and center very often but when he does...I've been trying to get a good pic of him for a while now.

Whole Fish Tank Died From Cold

Posted: 01 Jan 2020 10:28 PM PST

Today is a sad day, while on vacation the heat in my house died and I lost my Fish Tank to the cold. 9 tetras of various kinds, 1 pleco, 12 shrimp (2 berried with eggs), 2 kuhli loaches, and 2 snails. The heater in the tank could not outmatch the cold of the house while I was away. Please everyone give extra love to your fish tanks for me. Im looking forward to all of your pictures of bright and pretty fish in 2020.

Goldfish questions!

Posted: 02 Jan 2020 02:34 AM PST

So tomorrow I'm picking up a 36g bowfront. After doing some research, I'm pretty sure that two fancy goldfish would max out the capacity so very regular water changes and lots of filtration are a must.

What I want to know is are there any plants that do well with these beautiful fish? My existing tank is very heavily planted and it really helps offset the waste from all my platys and bristlenose to the point I can do a water change about once a month. I do not expect to go anywhere near that long without a water change with goldfish.

Ideally I would like to include a large piece of driftwood and a lot of live plants, but I also don't want to spend a fortune on plants that they'll just eat or otherwise destroy.

I've looked thru this sub and pretty much all the goldfish photos and videos have fake plants.

My work in progress 5ft long tank. It will be a neon tetra tank with one or two pairs of bristle nosed plecos. It currently has 8 almost mature bristlenoses and just over 20 neons, my aim is to have 120 to 150 neons when it’s really got up and running and the plants are really growing
