Why has the emerged moss gone slimy? Posted: 11 Aug 2019 05:17 PM PDT

Posted: 11 Aug 2019 07:47 PM PDT I'm experienced with fish but this is my first planted tank. Looking for advice. Cycled 20G tank with 6 panda corys, 3 shrimp. Will eventually have 8-10 ember tetras and a nerite snail. pH sitting stable at 6.8. Low tech. Substrate is Fluval Stratum. Light is just a stock LED. I have a small anubias from another tank which is glued to a rock, which I moved in here. I then planted a small water wisteria, temple compacta, and Amazon sword. Also planted two clumps of dwarf hairgrass. I plan to dose with Flourish twice a week (already do this in my other tanks which have Java Fern and Anubias glued to rocks.) I'd like a fairly densely planted tank so looking for recommendations for additional plants. I would like to achieve a carpet look for part of the tank with the hairgrass but it seems that's difficult without CO2? Have I made any mistakes in plant choice/etc? Will the plants stop coming out of the substrate so easily once they're better rooted? [link] [comments] | ||
