- Raising 3 shrimplets at work for a few weeks before moving them back to the big tank. Pothos roots provide tons of biofilm while keeping the water free of ammonia/nitrates/nitrites. Buffering substrate maintains a stable pH, and workplace 24-hr HVAC maintains a stable temp :)
- What is your favorite go-to method for making a jar?
- Just received this as a gift, any ideas for tall aquatic plants or other additions?
- What are some tips and ideas y’all have for making a jarrarium/ terrarium using a jar similar to this one? I have two of these guys. I’m new to the whole thing and wanna make the best ones I can.

What is your favorite go-to method for making a jar? Posted: 06 Aug 2019 09:55 AM PDT I have a 3 gallon glass jar that i want to turn into an equipment-less jarrarium. There are so many styles out there, using aquasoil, walstad, inert cheap sand + root tabs, etc. What do you find work for you best? Secondly, what (brand) soil is best for walstad? Ive heard so much about miracle grow organic mix (orange bag) but thats discontinued / rebranded as nature's care (green bag) or the performance organic (black bag) without many people updating their results on how that worked for them [link] [comments] | ||
