Thinking about planting a jarrarium for a single snail Posted: 06 Aug 2019 12:47 PM PDT My roommate's betta died and she said that she might rather not get another one since we're graduating college soon and she doesn't want to worry about moving a betta. I'm thinking that a snail may be easier to house and transport, and, while I will do my best to love and care for said snail, I think that we won't get as attached or as sad if it dies before its time. I'd like to have a pretty simple setup if possible; I already have some pretty big marimo and can find other plants if needed. What snails are hardy and at least dime sized? And what should the tank look like? I'd love something that can live in the jars that I've rooted an elephant ear or pothos in but I'm not sure if those are snail compatible plants. Essentially I need you to talk down to me like I'm five. [link] [comments] |
