- Hungry Crayfish
- stating a 29 gal tank. thinking about getting a crayfish. would it be safe to add other fish and or multiple crayfish? thanks
- Tank size
- The rock wall
- I am considering a very large change. I am thinking about merging my crawfish tank and my mosquito fish tank. My only concern is that the mosquito fish might try and eat the soft parts of the crawfish. Should I be worried? Is she safe with 12+ fish?
Posted: 12 Aug 2019 09:47 PM PDT I haven't seen anything posted on this at all so I'm making my own post...my pet crayfish always seems hungry. I've never had a pet crayfish before so I'm new to all of this and I'm at a loss at what to do. I feed him two shrimp pellets twice a day and he gobbles those up. Sometimes, I'll give him an algae pellet to distract him when he starts attacking my black mystery snails. He has already killed one of my mystery snails (I am aware crayfish eat these snails but that snail was about the same size as him and I was hoping they could help keep the tank cleaner). I don't know if he is just a hungry baby crayfish or a full adult, since he is small (about 2.5 inches long). Am I overfeeding him? Am I underfeeding him? He always seems interested in whatever food I drop in there :/ He's never not hungry. I don't really want him to keep attacking my snails, but if anyone has any advice please let me know. Posted: 12 Aug 2019 09:23 AM PDT Does anyone's crawfish move rocks to try to form walls to cover entrances to their hideouts? I've been listening to Tree beating rocks off of the glass tank all day.. [link] [comments] | ||
