A month of growth, very happy

2 weeks 2 days, tank fully cycled on the 23rd, feeder minnows added to keep bacteria happy while I make sure everything is stable before adding shrimp. Changed out some plants, added wood and a bunch of bucephalandra and I’m super happy with it

Is a filter necessary/ideal for a planted tank with no fish or inverts?

Posted: 27 Jul 2019 11:34 PM PDT

I'm thinking of planting a 5g tank just for plants, and don't really like how a filter would look. If I just use a small fountain pump to promote water circulation, there's no need for a filter, right?

How do I safely move all of my plants and sub from one tank to another tank?

Posted: 27 Jul 2019 09:23 PM PDT

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm essentially putting all of my stuff into a new (better quality) tank, but I'm worried about disrupting the plants too much. Is there a way to do this correctly or will it be fine if I just.. do it?

Will my S. Repens spread planted like this in a dry start? I’m using root tans under the sand and have soil under that.

Fluval Stratum murky disaster! I decided to switch substrates, and even though I followed the directions on the bag, this happened. I have a bag full of plants to plant &a betta fish that wants her tank back. How do I fix it?? How long will the plants be ok? How do I plant them w/out this happening?
