New koi for the pond. Our 4 yo granddaughter named him Olaf.

Egrets have killed all of our daughter in laws parents koi but this one so he moved to our pond.

Help please - dead koi - do they get bloodshot fins ? This koi just jumped out of the pond, but it WAS a white koi (1 year old). Lots of bloodshot areas as it looks like it jumped out then struggled. I feel guilty. The weather last night was thunder/lightning, would that contribute ?
