Posted: 05 Jun 2019 08:56 PM PDT Hey guys, First post here. I've had my snowflake eel since it was about 6" and very small. Over the last year and a half hes gotten to be about 2' in length and now he has refused to eat silver sides anymore. Hes been a model citizen in my reef tank living alongside with my snails and conch and shrimp. The past week he has refused to eat anything and now has eaten a snail and a conch. Any ideas what I could feed him to try to get him to eat? [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Jun 2019 06:28 PM PDT Hi fellow reefers! For those who sell their excess corals online or own a coral selling business, what corals in your experience have the highest rates of shipping survival? I'm assuming anything that's capable of completely closing its polyps are probably hardy, but anything specific that comes to mind? [link] [comments]

plumbing a rubbermaid container? Posted: 05 Jun 2019 05:34 PM PDT I'm using a 55 gallon rubbermaid container as part of my auto top off system. I have a Litermiter III pump pulling water from the rubbermaid and pumping it directly into the sump. The problem is that I have the hard, airline like tubing running over the top of the lip of the rubbermaid and down into the container. I'm trying to come up with an elegant way to make sure it gets water from the bottom of the rubbermaid. This way, I'll make sure the water does not age too long, and also will ensure that the water in the rubbermaid lasts as long as possible before refilling. As it currently stands, the tubing keeps floating up and starting to draw air when the rubbermaid is about half empty. I've tried zip tying the tubing to a powerhead to keep it near the bottom, but this only works some of the time. Any ideas? [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Jun 2019 09:52 AM PDT Is there a problem in running both GFO and NOPO-X simultaneously? My Phosphates are 0.61 ppm and I'm trying to get them down. [link] [comments]

Average amount/number of fish for a 350 gallon reef Posted: 05 Jun 2019 12:39 AM PDT I look at some tanks on various platforms and these larger tanks seem to have a myriad of fish. Like and army or fish! So I was wondering, if you have or know of someone that has a 300+ gallon tank, how many fish do they have packed in that bad boy? Just wanting to see how I stack up and mainly to see if I can safely add some more fish.
