I love live plants, but have never been able to keep much alive. I just bought the Fluval 3.0 light. Anyadvice on what to do to help keep plants alive/ create a better environment for them? Tank is well established over 2 years.

Is there anyone on here from Melbourne, Australia?

Posted: 10 Jun 2019 05:59 PM PDT

Im trying to make a planted tank similar to the awesome ones i see on this sub and other sites. But it just seems impossible to find half the plants and equipment people use. Melbourne just seems really bad for this hobby in general.

Just wondering if anyone from my part of the world has any go-to sites/shops that can help me out?

Cheers

MY FIRST PLANTED TANK INTO THIS HOBBY (Walstad Method)

Posted: 10 Jun 2019 07:23 PM PDT

Something I never done before and my first time into this hobby. Does anyone have any tips/things to watch out for in this process. I will be doing the dry start method with seeds( glosso or baby tears). I'm confused about the ammonia and nitrate cycle stuff too. I appreciate any tips.

HELP 75g tank, dirted, 6 hour of light, light stocking of 5 rainbows, 2 Chinese algae eaters, and 5 danio . I've tried a one week black out, removing daily, excel, Amano, nothing works. This much growth is ~2 days.

Can these be saved? Got them for free from petco. The plants were dead. The rhizomes are still green and some of the roots on the top one are still white.
