Bought some new lights for my emersed plants!
Rescaped my 20 gallon. Tried iwagumi"ish"
Was suppose to do a trim and sell some plants but got lazy maybe next weekend? ��
My 21 gallons of stems tank

The Fluval Spec 3 I got off craigslist is finally set up! I didn’t think I could pull of a nano tank this small! Pleased with the way it turned out.

Plants just went in this weekend. It’s my first planted tank and I couldn’t be happier!
One month update photo. I am thinking about introducing CO2, thoughts?
Champagne in his newly rescaped tank. I accidentally killed his other plants by having the new light too close. He doesn’t seem to mind.
Moved into a rental property, had to give my beautiful high-tech tank to a friend. From extra/scavenged materials: the planted aquarium substitute.
Any tips to getting more red growth?

30day update: My jungle tank has really become a jungle!
When you aren't sure if your Otos are eating enough so you try farming algae for them. This is in only 6 hours.
Several weeks in, not the prettiest but had a some wins! BGA is gone, 6 big new leaves on the Madagascar lace
Did I Just Make My Dirted Tank Substrate Too Thick?
Can someone identify these crypts for me? I got them at Petco as assorted because I wanted different crypts for the front but my local lfs never has them. I'm making another post for the other one that didn't fit in the frame clearly so I'll just copy and paste the text, appreciate the help.
Can anyone identify this greyish white slime on the moss ball and driftwood. It’s all over my planted tank. How would I go about getting rid of it

ID on the plant in the back left corner ? Not sure what it was when I bought it.
Pregnant? So tiny about a month ago, probably 6 times the size now. This normal?
Which carpet-type plants are possible if using Aqua Soil along with Seachem Flourish Excel?

Did I Just Make My Dirted Tank Substrate Too Thick?

So I just setup my tank. I got carried away with both the soil and the cap. First I thought 1-1.5 inches dirt would be fine so I did it on the higher said which is about 1.5 inches. Then I capped it and it looked slim on some parts so I just kept adding and now measuring from the outside of the tank (table top to top of substrate) I have 3 inches of substrate. Did I just mess up entirely? Am I going to have problems in the future? I've read about anaerobic substrates but from the videos I watched they said its tough to actually have this happen to you. At the same time I think its abnormally thick. Give me your thoughts please!
