How to care for, and stop an infestation of, Malaysian Trumpet Snails? Posted: 05 Jun 2019 08:24 PM PDT Hi reddit, I'm a somewhat new fish keeper, only being serious about fish for about a year, and I got my first plant about 6 months ago. This is where I think the problem started. Last night I noticed a snail on the side of my tank, and in my panic, searched everywhere to see what it was. Turns out it was just a MTS, and what I think is an adult one. This was the first time I've seen anything other than my fish in the tank I don't really mind having a few snails in my tank, but when I went to feed my fish (an unagressive betta), I saw a little baby snail, and I have a feeling it's not the only one by what little I've read on google Is there anyway to make sure they don't get out of control? As I said, I don't mind a few if they help out, but I don't want a ton of them because I don't really have a way to get rid of them. Any advice? [link] [comments] | ||

Ivory mystery snail aka my escape artist Posted: 05 Jun 2019 03:23 PM PDT Hey all just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on keeping my snail in her tank I have 2 mystery snails in a 20g, lately my ivory has been trying to lay eggs and I left her about 4 inches at the top of the tank to lay eggs because I noticed she has been trying to get up onto the lid of the tank which I didn't want. Last night I found her on the outside of the tank (she escaped through the hole for the filter) any reason she may want to escape other than to lay eggs? [link] [comments] |
