Help please Posted: 05 Jun 2019 08:21 AM PDT Hi, looking for some help for a close friend. My friend has a fish pond in which she keeps both koi and orfe. Last year after buying some fish from a garden centre she lost all of her koi due to some disease that at the time she was not knowledgable about. Since she has read up more on the diseases after recently buying more koi from a more repeatable source. These new koi seem to have contracted the disease which appears to be dropsy the fish will seem totally fine and then all of a sudden will become swollen with its scales jutting out like a pine cone. She has tried various treatments for dropsy and other bacterial infections but none of which have helped prevent the spread of dropsy. She does water changes once a week and has a relatively clean pond. She is quite new to fish keeping and so does not have much experience and is struggling to find a solution.
