Just got two Amano for my freshwater tank. They like to perch here!

My well water runs at PH: 6.5, GH:0-1, KH: 0-1 naturally. So I'm planning on getting Blue Bolts. Will use Salty Shrimp GH+. With my water already so acidic do I need to use a buffering substrate? I can't seem to find the answer with research. And if needed would Shrimp King soil be good? TIA!!!

For a 5 gallon tank. Right now I'm using a 25w Hydor. It's trash. I've gone through 3. They warranty replaced it and then again and even said they tested the last one before they shipped it to me. The temperature dial on the top might as well not even exist. No matter what I set it to it still heats my tank to like 78-80. Looking for something in an acceptable wattage range for a 5 gal with a reliable temperature setting.

Can you put cardinas and Neocaridinas in the same tank?

Posted: 26 May 2019 08:21 PM PDT

Question about blue shrimp. I’m assuming their care would be the same as cherry shrimp? And with breeding them, do generations quickly lose their color if your not culling? Or you’ll get a few culls here and there, but won’t have that much impact?
