I think I’ve finally figured out why I couldn’t keep cherry shrimp alive

Posted: 19 May 2019 12:49 AM PDT

Turns out I have copper pipes

I feel like an idiot, it never occurred to me to check the pipes under the sinks.

I wasted the last two months obsessively testing nitrates, ph, gh and kh, researching, buying new shrimp every time I thought I figured it out and feeling super stressed as their numbers slowly dwindled.

Do caridina shrimp require interference to breed or will they do so on their own?

Posted: 18 May 2019 08:53 PM PDT

As in do they need brackish or anything? Or will they just reproduce like neos with no issue?

I want to create a big happy family of shrimp. But how? I new to shrimp and want to start small and simple.

Posted: 18 May 2019 06:08 PM PDT

What are the easiest shrimp to breed? What do I need to do in order to provoke breeding. Do I need to feed the baby shrimp special food? What should I put in the tank? Is there any other useful information that I should know?

Are Kuhli loaches compatible with shrimp?

Thinking of getting a couple of those slinky boys, hope they don't eat too many of my shrimp though.

RCS Dying. Stumped on what it could be.

Over the past couple weeks my cherry shrimp have been dropping like flies and I have no idea what the problem is. They're kept in a tank with Endler's live bearers, ramshorn snails, and plenty of live plants. The only thing i've added to the tank recently was an Indian Almond leaf, a Wonder Shell, and my parameters are 0/0/10 with a 7.6 pH. Could my Endlers be killing my shrimp? Or is there something I'm not aware of..
