- Side shot Saturday
- Redid the entire tank today. Removed so many plants that I started a high tech storage tote tank.
- Life, uh, finds a way: I put an old piece of java fern rhizome in my betta tank on a whim. It took a long time, but it now has a tiny fernlet growing on it!

- My plant is a bit broken in the bottom, I think my mollies nibble it a bit. Should I cut it and replant or is it ok to let it keep growing like that?

| A General Guide to Lights and CO2 Posted: 18 May 2019 11:51 PM PDT Hey everyone, Can someone give me a good breakdown (or a link) of lights and CO2 for a planted tank? I understand the gist of it, but I'm confused when people say medium lighting and low CO2, that kinda stuff. How would one translate this in terms of wattage or anything like that? Thank you! | Posted: 18 May 2019 09:09 PM PDT I wondering where you guys get your neo shrimp from. I am looking into getting some cherries. But my LFS doesn't order them on there own. They order a mix assortment or neos. So is there any recommendations on where to order them online? [link] [comments] | ||

| Fluval AQ 30 for planted tanks beginners Posted: 18 May 2019 09:36 PM PDT I just recently started my planted tank, made a few mistakes already with using gravel first then using finer substrate(sand) to learn that I should be using actually plant substrate. Now I'm learning that I need to be using different media than the standard inserts provided (sponge, carbon, ceramic) by removing the carbon and adding more ceramic or more sponges. In confused and only want what's best for the tank and fish. It's a ten gallon with more fish than I should but I take good care of it, active on maintenance. I have before and after pictures of my progress moving into a planted tank... Gravel: https://imgur.com/a/mN1HFeR [link] [comments] | ||
