How many shrimp for starting up a 5.5 gal tank?

I'm currently cycling my 5.5 gal tank, I want to start up my first shrimp tank. What is a good number to get started with? And any tips/advice for this size tank would be awesome! Thanks.

So I had a big die off when I first got my shrimp and stuff... Anyways I have 3 now, 2 female 1 male (I am 100% sure) and both female molted recently yet my male hasn't bred with them and neither are berried.... Why won't he breed!! I'm tryna start up a colony but they don't seem to want to.. I've seen one female berried once, she molted at like 20 days I tried to save the eggs because they had little eyes but they molded quickly so I didn't end up with any babies and haven't seen them berried since. Peramiters are good Temp is 75 Ammonia 0ppm Nitrites 0ppm Nitrates 0ppm (alot of Christmas moss)
