Lawnmowing is hard work!

This thing can take a pounding. Everything you've heard about it is incorrect. It's been a lovely addition to my tank and as a great indicator of water quality.

Enthusiastic Newcomer

Purchased a 50G bowfront aquarium a few weeks ago and I've decided to do a FOWLR. There isn't room for a sump so I figured I would go for a HOB protein skimmer and possibly a canister. Planning dry rock with the live caribsea pink sand. Also looking into LED lighting as well as a power head. Anyone have any tips or ideal beginner fish to stock.

Problem with our protein skimmer

Posted: 30 Apr 2019 07:13 PM PDT

We just purchased an SCA protein skimmer (rated for 180 gallons) to put in our sump for a 65 gallon tank. The problem is that the skimmer is too tall to fit in the cabinet space that we have. It just barely fits in without the sump tank, and certainly does not fit in with the tank under it. The shelf above it isn't able to be moved, as it's how the doors stay on, and it was preassambled before we purchased it. We measured the cabinet beforehand and the measurements online said it would fit. Any recommendations for us novices?

Jellyfish in my tank?

Posted: 30 Apr 2019 05:53 PM PDT

I'm very new to this, I've posted before that I've taken over a tank from a friend. Well today I noticed what looks like tons of teeny tiny jellyfish. I tried to take a picture, but they are too small to even show up on the camera. I can only differentiate them between the bubbles because you can distinctly tell they propel themselves in the way a jellyfish moves. Could these be tiny jellyfish? If not, what in the world could they be, and is it good, and how did I get them?! I just have so many questions I feel like this is so bizarre!
