New to having a Duncan, is this how they grow new heads, and is 6 an average amount to grow at one time? It's closed up right now, normally one big head the size of a quarter.

Is this stuff legit? Has anyone tried it?

I'm trying to find some Caulerpa online for my refugium. None of my regular online sources have it, any recommendations?

Testing Calcium & Alkalinity for the first time...have a couple of questions

Posted: 26 May 2019 08:45 PM PDT

I invested in a couple of Hanna checkers for the first time! I have a 25 lagoon that's about 7 months old. It's all LPS right now, and I'd like to add some montis soon, so I tested both Calc & Alk today for the first time and they came in at 518 & 8.1, respectively.

I double tested calc & it came in at 521 the first test, and 516 the second test - leading me to 518. I have a few questions....

Is this too high?

Should I be raising my Alk? I know not to be chasing numbers, but I just want to make sure I won't start to see negative effects from such a high calc level.

If my calc is fine, is now a good time to seed coraline since it hasn't started growing? I'm thinking the high calc levels

Everything in the tank seems generaly. happy (I had one acan head recede a couple of weeks ago, but it's coming almost 100% back), but other than that everything in the tank seems okay.

I don't have a mag test kit, so that's my next purchase. Thanks!

Got a new acid wash BTA three days ago. All the bubble tips have gone away, but the anemone has tripled in size. Will the bubble tips come back? PS, lights off in tank still as it’s early morning.

How can I get my clown to host

Posted: 26 May 2019 04:41 PM PDT

3 fish dead overnight. Any causes?

Posted: 26 May 2019 03:44 PM PDT

Salinity 32 or whatever the SG equivalent Temp 78 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate <15 pH 8.2 Phosphate .05 32gal biocube with 2 clowns (dead), coral beauty(dead) purple firefish, yellow watchman with pistol shrimp. Corals, pom pom crab. Green BTA. All fish were fine last night and eating as normal. Come home this afternoon after being out to 1 clown missing and the other almost fully eaten by the cuc and my angel lying on the bottom taking its last breath. Firefish and goby seem perfectly fine. Traced all my actions and can not think of any way it could have been contaminated. All my corals seem fine and non are retracted or bleaching.

Help with [ID] of the charcoal colored foam on the right of the colony and [ID] of the type of Palythoas. The rock also has a bright orange sponge, bivalve molluscs, fan worms and a mini brittle star
