Is a saltwater shrimp nano tank viable?

Hey guys,

I used to own a big saltwater aquarium when I was much younger. Now I'n thinking about setting up a shrimptank with saltwater shrimp (I'm a big sucker for cleaner shrimps).

I was wondering though, is it viable to have a small saltwater nanotank with shrimp? How much maintenance does it take? Any tips on where to start? If anyone would be so kind as to point me in the direction of any resources about this, that would be awesome.

What Do I Need to Get Started?

I've already purchased an Aueon 10 gallon tank, I just need to know what else I need to setup a freshwater tank.

I've never owned fish before so I don't really know where to start. I'm not even 100% sure what type of fish I'll put in the tank, but it will definitely be something suitable for the nano tank life.

Just from general observation, I see tanks with pumps/some sort of filtration and a light. I just don't know specifically what I need. Would someone be able to list some things out that I can buy on amazon to get me started (minus the tank).

What do you think of canister filters?

I was looking through the AGA aquascaping competition, and found that all of the competitors were using canister filters. On a nano tank would the filter rip everything due to high flow or would it be okay?
