Jarrariums - Water change question |
| Posted: 17 May 2019 09:18 AM PDT Hi! I've just made my first jar, using substrate and water from a local man made lake. https://m.imgur.com/a/aEYxZsC here it is, with a small bottle of water conditioner for scale. It has duckweed and moss I bought at a lfs, and some snails, tiny worms, and little shrimp/bug things that I guess were hiding in the mud when I made it. My question is, how often/should I do water changes? It's only been in existence for maybe 6 days, and I did 2 near full water changes on days 1 and 2 to help with cloudiness and silt. I did a maybe half water change yesterday. Should I keep changing water every couple of days? Edit: more questions. Do I need to add supplemental food for the snails and other invertebrates? Can I add a ghost shrimp to help clean up? I'm super new to this :/ [link] [comments] |
