So I recently found this sub, and you guys are crazy. I want to become crazy as well. I really like the transformation posts on here, I like the idea of taking a badly taken care of betta and giving it a fantastic home. I am pretty new to fish care so I read the care sheet and most of the wiki, but still don't know exactly where to start. I want to have a 7-10 gallon planted tank, but where do you buy tanks? At petco or is there a website that reliably ships glass or acrylic tanks? What type or brand of filter is best, where do I find that. What type of plants will grow easily under the supervision of an amateur, do I get those online or should I find a store that I can pick up in person? I tried looking this stuff up but there is just so much information. Is there a good youtube series about setting up planted tanks? What other products do you recommend? I will for sure get a heater but those are pretty universal by my understanding, just get the right size for the size tank you have. I am excited to get started and hopefully within a month or two (or however long it takes a tank to cycle?) get my first anger fish!

Got sick of my brothers filthy aquariums so I did 100% water change and “donated” some of my plants.
