I have a nano tank with about 15 Blue Pearls and I bought some Fissiden a couple days ago that came with 2 Blue Dream hitchhikers. I know that they are 2 different species but would they still interbreed since they're both Neocaridina? If they do what color would they produce? I could always cull any "wild types" if they show up and just move those to my other tank

Are crystal reds that hard to take care of as a beginner?

I have a planted 100 gallon running on tap water with no experience in shrimp keeping. Is that already a bad start and is RO water necessary for breeding? Im planning to start off with around 100 and hope they breed.

Are CRS really as hard to breed as people say?

Questions about red rili parameters

I'm looking to get back in to the shrimp keeping hobby and love the look of red rilis, but I can't find a straight answer about the appropriate levels of KH. The place I'm buying it from (shrimpfever) lists it as 1-4 KH, but I found other sites listing it anywhere from 0-10 degrees.

My current parameters are;

Ammonia 0.25

Nitrite 0

Nitrate 5.0

Kh 7 degrees

Gh 12 degrees

pH 7.4

Temperature 23 C

My filtered tap water sits at 4 KH so I want to get the correct information.

Old tank new tank

I have an old 10 gallon tank that I wanna make into my first shrimp tank. I've never owned shrimp before. Any tips? What kinds are best? What things are a must for the shrimps?
