Please help a pant noob like me:( Posted: 24 Apr 2019 09:21 PM PDT Okay so I will start off by saying I work with fish everyday and wouldn't keep them together if it wasnt working out or if I couldn't keep up with the maintenance. Alright to the meat and potatoes, I currently have a 10 gallon with 1 betta, multiple neon tetras, 3 albino Cory's, multiple shrimp and otocinclus. I have never had live plants that needed to be put in the gravel or whatever. Recently I purchased 2 live plants from an aquarium store and realized that I have no idea where to start.... I put them in the gravel and they just float to the top or the fish move them while I'm away... should I be using substrate? Or something other than top fin gravel to hold them down better? What's a good plant for those fish? What should I purchase to keep the plants alive, I was recommended flourish... Plants https://imgur.com/gallery/mN1HFeR [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Apr 2019 06:02 PM PDT Hey guys! I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong sub, but I figured planted tank enthusiasts would have the best recommendations. I'm looking to find similar YouTube channels to foo the flower horn. I like the setup, no talking , very soothing music, and informative . Here's a link in case you want to check out his channel: https://youtu.be/OZ047sn5bFs any suggestions would be much appreciated ! [link] [comments]

Looking for a good low tech tank substrate Posted: 25 Apr 2019 02:19 AM PDT My aquarium cracked so when i bought a new one today I decided I'm going to take the opportunity to make a dirtied tanked. I'm just not sure what kinds are good or bad. I have root tabs and excel, a topfin light and a additional blue led. It's a 10 gallon tank with anacharis, Anubis, javafern, Amazon sword, some Marimo moss balls and a few other plants whose names I can't remember. I'm looking for something that will hold the plants down well and help them grow well. I would appreciate any advice [link] [comments] |
