Is it possible to overstock a tank plant wise? Posted: 30 Apr 2019 12:45 AM PDT I'm considering adding more plants to my Fluval Spec 5g but is possible to over do it and end up killing my current plants? I want to buy Anubis and put it in a tank with: Java fern in half the tank, 3 Alternanthera Reineckii stocks, 1 Crinum Calamistratum, and a random petsmart plant. [link] [comments] | ||

Ludwigia repens doing odd death spiral/new growth cycle Posted: 29 Apr 2019 04:08 PM PDT I bought these stems well over a month ago now, and they seemed to be doing pretty well for the most part and had great growth, about two weeks ago I notice md the growth had completely stalled, and the tops of two of the stems had turned almost black, now I have 5-8 stems all doing the same. Simultaneously I noticed at the base of one of the stems a whole new stem was growing out, it grew so fast in two weeks and dropped enough roots I snipped it and replanted it yesterday. And also I noticed two maybe three other plants doing the exact same thing and in a week or two I'll be snipping two new shoots. My question is should I just keep removing dieing material as I spot it, or should I be removing these whole stems... The new stems seen to be much healthier in appearence right now than the mother plants... Maybe they are just finally adjusting to my tank? [link] [comments] |
