Crayfish iNaturalist for Crayfish ID |
Posted: 25 Apr 2019 01:29 PM PDT Hey everyone, I encourage you to post photos of wild-caught crayfishes on iNaturalist and then sharing the link here if you require crayfish identification in the future. iNaturalist allows you to get IDs for crayfishes you catch while also making information about them available to researchers and the public. A really helpful guide for taking photos of crayfishes for identification can be found here: https://www.inaturalist.org/posts/16497-how… Please let me know if you have any questions. Posted: 25 Apr 2019 09:13 AM PDT So we had a blue crayfish who grew to be four inches and passed recently in a molt. We never had an issue with him and the other fish in the tank. He was never aggressive with them and we had no problems. Awhile after his passing we decided to get a new one, we've had the baby for maybe two weeks and it's not even an inch long. But today I woke up to him having caught and began to eat another one of our fish. He has also shown signs of aggression towards the other fish in our tank. The fish seem stressed, and I don't know what to do. [link] [comments] |
