for getting my Betta a 20 gallon tank, heater, filter and all the things. Because "why? Betta's can live in a vase with a plant! Hahaha!"

It is now a year later. Their toddler fell in love with a Betta at the pet store, and they bought it for him! With the basic gallon set up....

They asked me for some advice. The next day they went crazy and SET LITTLE FISHY DUDE UP! Hahaha I love it, and they're so proud of their 20 gallon aquarium! Thanks to this sub for all your help. Wish me luck as I get them through the cycling process!

Edit before and after Beta

Some of the plants are plastic, so I'm headed over Sunday to take them to my LFS for silk ones! Also, is it possible to take them something from my tank to jumpstart the cycle? Any tips appreciated!

Meet Shimmer the most unusual looking betta ever. His scales are iridescent with a full range of yellow, blue, purple, copper, and pink depends on how you look at him. He has a 3 inch body length as well.
