Life as an axolotl breeder...

My little lady decided that she didn't like any of her plants or ornaments to lay eggs on; she wanted to use the filter cable... My boyfriends idea to give her somewhere else worked perfectly!

What's the most annoying axolotl question you get asked?

Mine are:

"Is it a fish?"

"Love your axolot!"

Trying to find a breeder who has Leucistic axos. My wife's axo of 13 years passed a few years back and she is really looking to raise another again.

How do i get the snail infestation out of my axo tank?

Posted: 01 Apr 2019 12:49 PM PDT

I got some snails from my Petco plants, which is not usually a problem in my other tank because the corydoras take care of them and honestly i don't mind them. I'm concerned about them being in Kippers' tank, though, because i'm afraid if they get bigger (they're extremely small right now) he'll try to eat them and not be able to pass the shells. How can I remove them? Just scoop them up and move them to the other tank when they get big enough i'm afraid they'll be a problem?

Also bonus question: Does anyone know if I can use Flourish in his tank for my two live plants?
