My poor Richard Swimmons has not been feeling well. Today I had one of the aquatic doctors I work with look at him and it looks like he has some mineralization from the previous owners bad decision with substrate. Really hoping the meds will help and he pass it. ❤️❤️

SEEKING FOR HELP - My axolotl's gills are looking bad

Any kind of help in this is truly appreciated. Thanks for the space.

*Flan is the little one, Santana is the big one
When Flan moved to this new tank one year ago, he almost completely lost her gills. I think this was due to a harmful water conditioner, because when I changed it this stopped (but she didn't grow them back).
Santana has been in the tank for half a year, and now I'm noticing this may happen to her too. I'm worried and seeking for help, although they are both healthy otherwise and have a good apetite.

![img](9sr0amd092u21 "Their setup is a 31 galoon tank, a waterfall filter with a sponge to minimize the water flow (it has biological and mechanical filters), a cooler I use in the summer to keep the temperature around 68 °F, various hiding places and plants. I do water changes of 30% every two weeks and remove poop as soon as I see it. I am now feeding them with whitebait, one for each axie 2 or 3 times a week. I also fed them with chicken hearts and earthworms My water parameters are: NO3: 25-50 NO2: 0 GH: 8d KH: 6d PH: 6,8 CL2: 0 ")

Santana

Here's Flans last tank mate, I separated them when I saw that they were a male and a female. The same thing happened to him, he lost his gills when moved to the new tank

I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!! WHERE DO I START?????

Posted: 23 Apr 2019 12:57 PM PDT

So i recently got my own apt. and I'm too busy for a cat/dog, I'm always at work/gym/out and would just feel bad getting one. Regular fish, ehh but THESE GUYS are so damn cute with their derpy face I need one! I never owned fish or had a tank so I'm completely in the dark on where to start. Although I know I'd need a 20 gal. tank for one.

Anyone want to help!?!

Chiller recommendations!?

Posted: 23 Apr 2019 04:43 PM PDT

I'm upgrading my current tank and I don't think my computer fan system will suffice.

Does anyone have recommendations on their absolute favourite chillers? Bonus points if they're (somewhat) affordable and ship to Canada!

I'm upgrading from a 20 gallon to a 32 gallon and from my research I think I'd need a 1/10 HP?

Thanks in advance!!
