[Help] Damselfish going psycho

Posted: 30 Mar 2019 11:29 PM PDT

I've had my damselfish for a year now, and all's been well. However, over the last couple months, he's been going crazy whenever I get near the tank: spazzing out, swimming around incredibly fast, swimming into the glass, and recently jumping. He's never tried to jump out of the tank before now. It's like he's becoming more afraid of me each passing day. The other fish seem to be acting normally.

I just bought a new, tighter-fighting lid for the tank, and I'm going to be moving the damselfish to his own new tank soon. I'm just curious as to why the damselfish is suddenly going psycho when I get near the tank.

[Help] First corals in the tank

Posted: 30 Mar 2019 07:45 PM PDT

I have a Nuvo fusion 40 that has been up about 6 weeks and has had 2 Clownfish in it for the last 2 of them since it cycled. I picked up 2 corals today after work at the LFS. 1 pulsing xenia and 1 hammer coral. I also bought the coral dip. After getting them home, floating them for 10min and dipping them for 10 I go to put the first one in using clear gorilla super glue. Here's where the problem begins. The glue doesn't hold and the hammer drops to the sand. I pick it up and gently swish it to get the sand off but it still has residule superglue on the bottom. My question is, can i just stick them both in the sand for now until I get glue that works? Both corals are currenly in the sand and closed up(pictures included) and my clownfish are scared in the back corner. Also do I need to find a spot with almost no flow for the xenia?

TLDR Glue didnt hold, dropped the hammer in the sand and now both new corals are sitting in sand bed on plugs, is this ok?

Anyone know if this is actually a SRBTA? I bought this guy (6in) at my LFS for 40 bucks and they are not sure the exact type. I was pretty certain i was getting a deal on a Sherman though.
